EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join Waters End Academy for The Nightmare Before Christmas, a candlelight reading of Tim Burton’s gothic holiday fantasy on Saturday December 19 starting at 5:00 PM at Seashell Park.
The story follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, the beloved pumpkin king of Halloweentown, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people. When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life. Jack plots to take over Christmas by kidnapping Santa Claus. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.
The headmaster of Waters End Academy will conduct the reading from the gazebo at the center of Seashell Park. Students and guests can listen from the benches around the park or bring chairs of their own.
Attendance is open to all children of Waters End.
Masks and social distancing will be required for safety reasons.
Waters End Academy students should please register in advance so they can be included in event planning.
