Krampus Arrives at Waters End
The Christmas demon known as Krampus appeared in Waters End on Krampusnacht (Krampus Night) December 5. Krampus comes every Christmas season in search of children who end up on Santa’s naughty list. Krampus comes at night and rings a chain full of bells to attract attention. He gives coal to bad children that he meets and scares the worst by threatening to put them into his sack.
Students of Waters End Academy learned about this frightening Christmas spirit in their History of Magic lessons and were prepared for his arrival. A group of students surrounded Krampus at Seashell Park then followed him as he made his rounds through the village. Each time Krampus tried to give coal to a naughty child, the students stepped in to offer candy canes instead.
Krampusnacht traditionally marks the arrival of Krampus. But he can remain at large longer. Local children should keep on the look-out for Krampus, as well as 24 other Christmas demons between now and Christmas.
Remember: The best defense against Christmas demons is to be nice and not end up on Santa’s naughty list!
