Monsters Encountered
Werewolves and a Vampire were sighted in Waters End under the full moon on Saturday October 3. More than a dozen students of Waters End Academy reported three Werewolf attacks and a Vampire encounter. The sightings came during a Monster Hunt sponsored by the school for Witches and Wizards.
The first two Werewolf attacks occurred as students were checking the status of protective charms left at gates along the wall separating Waters End from the old railroad trail. In each instance, a huge Werewolf, well over six feet tall, sprang from the shadows and attempted to force its way through the gate.
The Vampire encounter occurred in the wooded area next to the playground. A blood splattered she-beast materialized out of the shadows and threatened to eat the students. Several brave students leaped into action, waving crosses and dousing holy water at the creature of the night. One student even got close enough to touch the Vampire before it fled into the night. A chaperone captured an image of the Vampire with a night vision camera.
As the students returned to the event base at Seashell Park, they were attacked by a third Werewolf, this time much smaller. It jumped out of some bushes and into a crowd of students, nearly knocking one down, before sprinting out of sight. Students who pursued the Werewolf were startled to meet the Vampire again, this time at the west gate of Seashell Park. The frightening apparition hissed at the students and then disappeared into the night.
