Ghosts Plague Station

There has been an increase in supernatural activity at Old Carlsbad Station.  Local townsfolk and tourists have reported ghost sightings on the station’s platform. The spirits appear between the midnight a dawn. Ghosts at the station are not unusual. Old Carlsbad Station is known to be a haunted place, even by those with no magic. But witnesses claim that the ghosts have seemed upset and aggressive.

For years ghosts have appeared late at night and waited on the platform, talking amongst themselves. But lately they have started sneaking up and scaring people. The ghosts have knocked hats off heads or ripped bags from hands.

Old Carlsbad Station has been the secret portal to the Waters End Academy for more than a hundred years. The school was founded by a local witch after she discovered the portal and the hidden castle on the other side. The castle was built by mages who arrived with Spanish explorers 500 years ago. The ghosts of those mages continue to inhabit the school. They have always been friendly to the students and teachers at the school. But this new behavior has raised alarms.

Professor Eurion Ravenel has been dispatched by Waters End Academy to assess the situation. Professor Ravenel is an expert in the area of ghosts and spirits. Since joining the faculty he has made a study of the school’s ghosts. “The recent sightings at the station have been unsettling,” said Professor Ravenel. “The ghosts here have always been peaceful. Something has clearly upset them. We shall do our best to get to the bottom of it.”

The portal at Old Carlsbad Station has been closed until further notice. A spokesperson for the school said it plans to conduct remote lessons until the ghost problem is solved.
